The Woody is the ultimate surf safari vehicle. An icon of style. Adopted by California surfers in the 1950s this classic wagon, displaying wooden panels in the framework, had plenty of room for mates, and boards.

These surf studies were also my beginning thumbnail sketches for a study brief: ‘CD Graphics – Contemporary surf culture’. For the final prototype (‘In The Curl’ Design Page) I used some of the many photographs I’d taken at Dreamtime Beach, Sharpes and Lennox Head. The paddling figure became ‘Paddlin’ Out Productions’ logo.
